Friends and neighbors of our Vermont HQ suffered devastating effects of widespread catastrophic rainfall and floods. Extreme weather events in July 2023 put entire towns under water, forced residents to evacuate from their homes, washed out roads and bridges, destroyed crops, and threatened aging dams. In response, Soundtoys launched a campaign to support clean up efforts and recovery.
100% of sales from August 2 + 3 were donated to two local aid organizations. Together we raised $37,000 to support flood victims.
$22,000 in sales from August 2, 2023 were donated to the Vermont Community Foundation’s Flood Response & Recovery Fund to help to cover immediate support as Vermont moves through this crisis, as well as assistance for long-term recovery efforts to build back homes, infrastructure, and communities.
$15,000 in sales from August 3 were donated to the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont’s Farmer Emergency Fund, which provides farmers with the needed cash flow in times of an emergency, to help them recover and ultimately become more resilient farmers.
“We’re a small company with a passionate team and equally passionate customers, and we support causes that we believe in. Whether it’s the political climate or the weather, we are facing some incredible challenges – and this time it’s in our own backyard. The devastation caused by the floods is widespread and heart-breakingly severe, which is why we chose to support organizations able to provide rapid response and relief to those who need it most.” – Ken Bogdanowicz, founder and CEO
